I purchased one of these hats 10 years ago for my baby to wear to the pool and the beach. It consistently protected him from the sun and has held up through two more brothers. My youngest son is still wearing it today. The ties keep the hat on even when the baby/toddler tries to pull it off! I have purchased the child and youth hats as my boys have grown and now the ties keep the hats from blowing away or washing away when we are at the beach.
